Terms & Conditions
By accessing or using Fairfield Meat Centre's official website, www.fairfieldmeats.co.za, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree, without limitation, to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Customer Privacy Policy
Fairfield Meat Centre shall take all reasonable steps to protect users' personal information. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
Agreement of Sale
We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge receipt of your order and to provide you with an order number. If we cannot fulfil your order following this acknowledgement, we will contact you by email or telephone. If you require any information concerning your order, please email us at orders@fairfieldmeats.co.za quoting your order number.
An agreement of sale occurs when either a credit card authorisation is received from the issuing bank or a bank transfer is reflected on our bank statement.
We may not accept your order if an item you have ordered is out of stock, if we have identified a product or pricing error, or cannot obtain authorisation for your payment. Please note that we reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
Legally Binding Contract
Please remember that there will be a legally binding contract when we accept your submitted product order from this website.
Payment
Any can make payment of the following methods: Electronic Funds Transfer (details will be available on request) or Visa/Master Credit Card. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account at the point at which your order is acknowledged. Please note that all credit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. The cardholder's address must match the information held by the issuing authority. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to pay or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to Fairfield Meat Centre, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of products. Please note that we retain the legal ownership of all products until full payment has been made by you and received by us. Legal ownership of the products will immediately transfer back to us if we refund any payment for the products to you.
Crediting Card Acquiring and Security
Credit Card transactions will be acquired for Fairfield Meat Centre via MyGate (Pty) Ltd who is the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. MyGate uses the strictest form of encryption, Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.mygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Fairfield Meat Centre separately from card details which the client enters on MyGate’s secure site. For more detail on MyGate, refer to www.mygate.co.za
Merchant Outlet Country and transaction currency
South Africa is The merchant outlet country when presenting payment options to the cardholder. The transaction Currency is the South African Rand (ZAR).
Delivery Policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, orders will be processed within two days and delivery confirmed via a telephone call. There will be no deliveries of online orders on Sundays. Orders must be placed by 2 pm on Friday for Saturday delivery. Orders placed on Saturday will be processed for Monday deliveries.
Delivery
Pre-delivery arrangements for orders will be made telephonically. If you are not at home when the order arrives, the company will contact you regarding the order. You accept that for us to prove delivery of an order or part of an order, we do not have to prove you personally received the goods but that any person at the delivery address specified on your order signed for the delivery.
Inspection
Upon receipt, you should inspect the products and check that everything specified on the invoice is included. You will be deemed to have accepted the order unless you notify us upon receipt that there is a problem or you wish to cancel the order and/or you return the goods by our Returns Policy. If you fail to take such action, we are not obligated to accept any rejection by you of the products at a later date.
Returns
The returns policy is for goods purchased on the website.
Fairfield Meat Centre hopes that you will be happy with your purchases. However, if for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with the products ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY, we will be happy to offer a refund, exchange or replace all products returned to us on that day of delivery, provided that they are in their original, unopened, unused and undamaged condition. We will consider the condition of the returned goods when making a refund.
Should you wish to cancel your order, please do so within 24 hours of placing the order online.
Should you wish to return any products, please notify us immediately when the products are delivered.

Please provide full details of the customer name, invoice number and the products being cancelled or returned. On receipt of the returned goods, we will refund the amount paid for the products. Refunds will be made against the original form of tender.
